Ericka is the Owner/Clinical Director of Thoughts Out Loud Counseling and Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri. Her desire to start a private practice counseling company started upon completion of her bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management from Harris Stowe State University - St. Louis. She received her master’s degree in a dual track concentration of School Counseling (K-12) and Professional Counseling.
She enjoys working with individuals who are experiencing life transition, grief, loss, relationship challenges, and divorce. She is an EMDR-trained therapist and continuing towards certification. She is near completion of certification in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in the State of Missouri. She has also completed Gottman Level 1 and 2 trainings.
She is an approved supervisor for Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselors (PLPC) in the State of Missouri. In addition to providing counseling services, she provides consultation to therapists looking to add insurance paneling and start private practice.
Zori is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (under the supervision of Ericka Cables, LPC, NCC) and doctoral student at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She received her bachelor's in Comparative Human Development from the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL, and her master's in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, in Evanston, IL.
As a mental health counselor, Zori believes counseling is an opportunity to collaboratively and safely explore patterns of behavior and thinking that occur in clients' relationship with themselves and others throughout their life.
Zori has experience working with youth and adults from diverse populations on issues related to stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, race, and LGBTQIA+ issues. She has also been trained in the emotional development model of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT-ED), a parent-child centered therapy used to improve behavioral and socio-emotional problems in children between the ages of 3 to 6 years old.
Sierra is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (under the supervision of Ericka Cables, LPC, NCC) in Missouri. She received her bachelor’s in psychology and went on to get her master’s in professional counseling from Lindenwood University, in Belleville, IL.
Through collaboration and an integrative approach, she aims to guide you through the journey of healing. Sierra believes hope comes with increased awareness and insight into how we manage life’s hardships. This creates a pathway for wellness.
Sierra has over 6 years of experience working in the mental health field and has helped children, adolescents and adults. Throughout this time of helping people with issues such as eating disorders, self-harm, post traumatic stress disorder, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit disorder and more, she has developed a passion for working with a variety of populations.
Dana is a double mastered therapist in Psychology and Marriage and Family therapy. She is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (under the supervision of Dr. Hugh Floyd, LMFT) who specializes in individual, couples, and family therapy.
Among her areas of expertise are relational conflict, dysfunctional family dynamics, behavior problems in adolescents and teens. Dana’s therapeutic approach is to provide support and counseling to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. Under the umbrella of a family-systems based approach, modalities used in treatment may include play therapy, CBT, psychodynamic therapy, family therapy and mindfulness-based interventions.
Dana’s goals are to help individuals reach their highest potential and to help families live more harmonious and happier lives together. Dana is committed to assisting each individual build on their existing strengths to live their best possible life.
Jessica is a Counselor-in-Training (under the supervision of Ericka Cables, LPC, NCC) in Missouri. She received her bachelor’s in psychology and in criminal justice in 2016 from National University, and her master’s in professional counseling in 2018 from Lindenwood University-St Charles, MO. Jessica is currently pursuing her Doctor of Social Science degree in prevention science from Wilmington University.
Jessica has experience in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, PTSD, dissociative disorders, trauma, conduct disorders, anger, substance use, life transitions, and relational problems. She is passionate about helping individuals, families, and relationships of any kind to help people more wholly connect with themselves and others.
Jessica believes in a relational, strengths-based approach to therapy. Her empathy and warmth help to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can process and heal.
